WIP Wednesday

I posted a bit about this one yesterday, but now I have the top done, sandwiched, and I have started to quilt it.  It's a gift for a friend of mine who just had a baby boy.  I'm doing an all over, large scale,  stipple in dark brown thread.  I folded over the bottom so that you could see the adorable backing fabric.

The fabric line is "Life's a Hoot" from Adorn It.  I got it from my LQS, and then added in the orange and teal solids.  The solids come from Connecting Threads.  The pattern for the quilt comes from See Kate Sew.  I must not have counted right and ended up being a row short, but it worked out better for me that way.  And it'll still be ok :-)

  1. Such a great boy quilt - love the owls!

  2. That backing fabric is too cute! I love the look of that large stipple - I have a hard time getting larger quilting to move smoothly. Yours is beautiful!
